There is no reason to apply for college and pay for ACT and SAT tests if you want to go into a trade.

My brother is a sophomore, and he is eligible to apply to colleges. He has no intentions of going to college and getting a degree. He wants to go into a trade, like electrician, plumbing, etc. I found out that if you want to go into a trade, you DO NOT apply to colleges. You apply for a technical degree instead. I also found out that if your goal is to go into a trade, you do NOT take the ACT or SAT test. So, why are colleges and organizations still sending your son out to pay $40 for the SAT and ACT tests that he is not going to use for anything? He has taken both tests even though he is not going to apply to colleges and they literally mean nothing for trade school. I could understand if he wanted to apply to Ivy League schools, but he wants to go into a trade.
