A beautifully shot slice of life in Tokyo. But it's so much more than that, too. As Samuel McTaggert wrote:

"Kakushigoto seems perfectly content with its laid-back tempo. But despite appearances, it's got a lot to say. About family, about community, about the world of adults, about the world of children. About the way we see the world around us, and the way we see ourselves. A beautiful, bright, clever little show."

It also explores the complexity of Kakushi's perspective as an adult and a dad, and the complexity of Hikari's perspective as a little girl.

I was touched by how he ministered to his daughter, when he thought he was failing as a parent.

I was touched by how Hikari supported her father, when she thought Kakushi was in trouble.

I'd give it 8/10.

It's on Crunchyroll.
