My wife wants me to be her friend

Let me first explain that I'm not a "nice guy". I've had a gf, and I've dated some women. No trouble in that regard.

I'm 24M and I've been dating my gf 25F for over 6 months. She is one of the hottest girls I've ever seen. Every woman including mine is a 10 to me, by the way. I'm not trying to make her the enemy.

I'm pretty sure she has been diagnosed with a mental illness. I don't know what, but she has been to therapy weekly for years.

She is not like any girl I've ever met in my life, and I'm starting to believe that she has never been in a relationship before. Her upbringing was strange, and I only know because her family told me about it. Her mum and dad both believed in attachment parenting. She slept in the same bed with her parents until she was in her late teens, and she was breastfed until she was 6 years old. They also didn't want their family to use words like "no" and "stop".

She has never learned to be intimate. She doesn't know what it's like to hug someone or have sex with someone. It's all so very strange. She doesn't like displays of affection, and she wont let me kiss her. She doesn't like books or movies or tv shows or music. She likes playing board games and playing soccer.

For some reason she started talking about how she wanted me and her to be "friends". She doesn't know what that means, and she doesn't know what it means to be in a romantic relationship. She doesn't know what love is.

So I have to be her "friend".

Let me tell you, it's the strangest thing. She doesn't communicate. She wont tell me how she feels or what she likes or what she wants. She doesn't talk about herself. She asks me questions and then wants me to talk about myself all the time. She asks me things like "what do you like to eat" and "where do you like to go".

She doesn't know what she likes, or where she likes to go, or what she wants to do.

So she wants me to pick the restaurant, and pick the movie, and pick the type of music that we listen to. She doesn't talk about her own interests or hobbies. But then she will say that she doesn't like something, or she doesn't like a certain type of movie or music, and I feel like I'm making her do things that she doesn't want to do.

It's all so strange. This has never happened to me before. Am I supposed to read her mind?

I've been with her for months and I still don't know what she likes or what she enjoys. She doesn't tell me, and she doesn't talk about it.

How do I read someone so strange? She is not like any other person, and I don't know what to do.
