I've been hanging out with a old friend I haven't seen in years, and it felt like we were having a awesome time, reminiscing the old days, talking about what we are studying and what we wanna be when we grow up, he tells me he is doing a degree in construction engineering, and I tell him I'm doing a degree in finance and economics. It was all OK, until this moment, he asked me how I see the world situation, and what I would do to resolve it, I told him I'm kind of right leaning, and he goes apolitical. He started talking about how communism would be awesome, and how it would be perfect, because everyone gets everything they need, kind of like Star Trek, and I was like "Dude, that sounds awfully familiar", he then tells me that he is a huge fan of a certain socialist and that he wants to be like him, and he was doing a speech about how communism is amazing and all that, I was frozen, like "What in the world dude?" I told him that communism has failed, and that won't ever work, and he just looked at me like "I know better" and goes on, about how Cuba and China are doing fine, and all that, and I just couldn't handle it anymore, I told him a not so friendly to leave and to come back when he is willing to have a real talk, and he left. I don't know what to do, I feel a little bit betrayed, but I am trying to be see objective, maybe he just got really blinded and I should just show him real data, and try to make him see. I really don't know at this point.

If someone has some advice, I would appreciate it, I'm kinda lost.
