I have questions about the average age of new teachers.

I am a college student with the goal of teaching for a couple of years then pursuing a career in medical school. I know I won’t be the first to do this, I’ve read on this sub about people leaving the classroom after a couple of years to pursue medical school. I’m sorry for the rant but honestly I’m so sick of my parents and people telling me I’m making a huge mistake by not focusing on med school then teaching. I’ve talked to people who have done the same thing I’m doing and they’re all successful in residency or have been accepted into medical school. <br><br>My question is for those who started as teachers then went into medical school, how did your age impact your journey? What were the difficulties you faced and was your journey worth it?
