Partner keeps making me food even though I've told them they don't taste good.

Partner and I have been together for about 4 years. In the last year, they've been trying to cook more often. I'm happy to have them cook, but the food they make doesn't taste good. I'm not just talking about it being a little bland. It's to the point where I can't even swallow it. I've been telling them the food doesn't taste good for the past year, yet they still insist on cooking.<br><br>It's been a huge fight the past couple weeks with them accusing me of trying to offend them while I'm just telling them the truth that the food doesn't taste good. I told them it's not their fault, that everyone has different tastes, and I'm sorry, but the food they make doesn't taste good. They just get angry and says that they're a bad cook and that I don't like their food because they're "broke and poor" and can't afford to cook with "expensive" ingredients. I tried to tell them it's not the ingredients but the seasoning that's an issue, but they won't listen.<br><br>It's gotten to the point where I'll come home from work, and there will be a pot of food on the stove. I'll tell them I'm not hungry and don't want to eat the food, and they'll accuse me of calling them a bad cook. I just don't understand why they keep making this food when I've told them so many times it doesn't taste good. The last time I told them the food was bad, they just broke down and cried.<br><br>How can I make them understand it's not their fault and that I'm not trying to offend them?
