Liberals just ruined my Christmas

I was at a holiday party, mostly left leaners. One of them asked about my job and I said I work for the government to support the war in Ukraine. He said it was very impressive that I work for the government but we shouldn't be giving weapons to Ukraine, we should be giving food. I was like oh wow this is crazy, I don't know anyone like that who is against the war effort. He said we should give food to Ukraine and Russia so they can stop fighting. I was like wtf bro, we can't give food to Russia, that's fucked up. <br><br>He was like "you want to feed and house Ukrainian refugees but not Russian refugees" I was like what the fuck is wrong with you, do you know anything about Ukrainian refugees. But he said we should give food to Russian refugees too and that we should let Russian immigrants into the US and give them houses and food stamps. I'm like wtf is wrong with you, we already have homeless veterans and people on the streets, why would we help Russian refugees. <br><br>Not to mention, how are we gonna even give food to Russian refugees, a lot of them are just fleeing the draft and are still very pro Putin. I don't want my tax money going to Russians, it's a waste of money. He was like "you're very nationalistic" and I was like yeah, I am very nationalistic, I don't like this globalist mindset. He said I was being anti-immigrant, I was like what the fuck, people who immigrated to the US legally should get help. I don't give a fuck about immigrants who are hopping the border, especially Russians, they're not even refugees. <br><br>He started getting very defensive, I'm pretty sure he was a commie. I'm like how are you a leftist but against giving weapons to Ukraine. He said Ukraine and Poland and Lithuania are just trying to be bully countries and we should just stay out of it. I was like wtf is wrong with you bro. <br><br>Then my dad got mad at me for arguing with the man. He was like "you need to stop arguing and just let everyone have their own opinion" I was like we can't have people's opinion be "Russia is cool". I don't want people like that at my holiday party.<br><br>Anyway, that made me feel very uneasy the rest of the night.
