Has anyone encountered any kids who have had Covid?

Like every other threads here- I DO NOT WANT TO CONTRACT COVID. But I happen to work in a very pro- anti vax/ anti mask/ its only like the flu county. White, rural, USA- you get the idea. I teach 2nd grade and the kids did remote last year. I am sooooo nervous about getting Covid that I did all kinds of things wrong this week. Everyone says we are going to have to be super rigid about procedures and keeping them apart. Well I screwed that all up this week. I was so busy trying to get them used to being back in school that I let them sit on the floor together, mingle around during snack time, etc. I never raised my voice and I was very patient and understanding. But all of my Covid rules went out the window. I have never been the most organized teacher- I am more of the warm and fuzzy kind. But I did spend a few hours this weekend putting procedures in place and I think I have it figured out.

My question to you is about kids who have had Covid. I have had 2 teachers at my school contract Covid- one had it over the holidays and the other caught it from his son. Both were out for 10 days, and both quarantined for the full 14 days. So I assume we will be considered close contacts if any of our students contract Covid. I have heard a lot of stories about kids who had Covid and got it again. But that is just hearsay. Do we think that if a student contracts Covid and comes back to school that they could contract it again and get others sick? I am trying to get my school administration to come up with a sick policy that keeps those kids out of school longer. Any thoughts?
