I think my dad saved me.

This is a very strange story and at the time I thought my dad was being overly protective but I think he might have actually saved me. <br><br>I was around 10 years old and we went to one of those self-scan counters in a regular grocery store. As we were scanning groceries my dad noticed a guy standing behind us who seemed to be continually looking at me. My dad thought it was strange but didn't think much of it.<br><br>Then as we were finishing up and were about to leave the man behind us handed my dad a piece of paper. My dad took it without thinking and when the man walked away he looked at it. It had a phone number, address, and directions on it. The man had basically given my dad the directions to his house. My dad showed it to me and I didn't think much of it but when we got home he called the cops and explained the situation. The police told him to come in for questioning and report the incident.<br><br>He never told me what really happened when he went to the police station but when we moved into our new house a couple of years later a police car pulled up next door and the same officer was in the car. My dad walked up to the car and talked to the police officer and then the police officer got out of the car and walked up to my dad. They told us that the man who had given my dad the directions was a child molester and that my dad coming in that day might have saved another girl who was kidnapped and killed from being murdered. They told us that the child molester was caught but only after he had already kidnapped and killed a girl. My dad might have saved me but unfortunately couldn't save the other girl.
