As a grocery store worker, it’s infuriating to see how many people aren’t taking this seriously. I got called a “bitch” yesterday for not making change fast enough for a guy who was on his fucking phone the ENTIRE time he was at my register, and now he might’ve had COVID.

To the guy who thought I was the bad guy for telling him to stay the fuck away from me, I hope you step on a lego. To the rest of you who are out there stocking up on your fucking TP, you’re better off inside than in public. This is NOT a goddamn snow day. Stop acting like it is and taking road trips to the fucking beach or whatever. You’re selfish, and that’s all I have to say about that. <br><br>Edit: since people are asking, this happened when I was working a customer service shift. I was taking care of someone buying liquor, then this guy came up and I had to go over to him and start ringing him out after I finished the other person’s purchase. I didn’t “rush” the guy, I explained to him properly how to use Apple Pay, and he got impatient and told me I was taking too long to count out his change. Then he got pissed and called me a bitch when I told him to stay the fuck away from me, and he was still on his phone not moving away from my register at all.
