Car culture is so entitled

I live in Melbourne, Australia. We have an issue with people bricking it on our roads and I notice it’s getting worse. When you call them out they go straight to their car and grab a weapon. This is a regular occurrence for myself and my friends. I don’t even want to take my kids for a walk.

The amount of times you see people with kids in the car - sometimes with no licences - sitting on their phones at round abouts completely oblivious. When we call them out we are labeled idiots, bitches, called names I won’t write.

When you honk at them for speeding or cutting you off all of a sudden their entire car shakes and vibrates with extremely loud - sometimes tuneless - bass thumping. Why does everybody need to have a speaker the size of a person in their car.

Then of course you have your hoons doing burn outs. First of all they are being illegal and entitled, secondly, I understand the want to have fun in your own car but often they can be littering and littering is so disrespectful.

Then of course you have your road hoggers who stay in the right lane and refuse to move over. There’s even been times where we sit on 110km/h and we overtake people in the right lane. It seems they just don’t care.

The amount of times you see someone a car length away from the car in front of them. I understand sometimes it’s needed but it just often seems like a power play to try be in control.

It just seems to me that so many people who drive a car have some kind of problem. So many car people seem so disrespectful - sometimes they don’t even care if they kill people. I’m so sick of the car community - they just seem extremely inconsiderate, entitled and selfish.
