I went on a week long trip out of my home state for work. I was staying at a pretty nice hotel. One night, I was sitting on my bed watching t.v. when I heard the door unlock. I froze and watched as the door opened and someone went to shut it, but then struggled to shut it.

Now, I have been getting emails from this website, I'll call it TravelSent. It was a ticket booking website that I used to get a cheap plane ticket. However, it was more of a middleman ticket booking site, because it was one of the options when I was trying to buy a ticket from a different airline. I booked with this website, and they just had me buy the ticket from this airline, which was also cheaper.

I believe this website is a scammer website. The email they have sent me were very bad quality and included words that misspelled and grammar mistakes, and they were overall trying to make me give information.

Back to the hotel room.

I am sitting on my bed, watching as someone is trying to shut the door. I kept listening and I heard someone say, "We're in". That's when the door swung open and two people walked in. They were shocked to see me, but they immediately shut the door and then both of them said, "I'm sorry".

I got up and walked to the door and unlocked it and opened it, because my first idea was that it was a neighbor. That's when I saw a security guard standing there and looking at me. I walked into the hallway to talk to the security guard and asked him, "Why did they just unlock the door and walk in?". Then he started apologizing and said it wasn't his fault. I then said, "I just don't want someone walking in, because my door is locked." He then said, "No, I'll make sure nobody walks in.".

I'm not sure if it was a bunch of people in a conspiracy or if it was just a hotel worker that was trying to break into my room. However, if the security guard and the two people who walked in were in on it, I think they were looking for information based on the emails I was getting and they must have used some of that information to break into my room.

Edit: Was in the hotel for 4 more nights after this and nothing else happened.

Edit2: I forgot to mention how they unlocked the door. They used a hotel key card, and for some reason the door didn't have a deadbolt lock.
