The trend of "I'm not a journalist but" is grating and the person saying it is implying they are justified in violence against journalists

The "frontlines" of the ORNGe movement consist of people who didn't even go to college and yet they are trying to justify the violence that is being inflicted on journalists by calling themselves journalists. If you are not a journalist then why should you have the privilege to use the word? You are not a journalist but what? You think you are journalist but you didn't even go to college? You people are not just implying that journalists are not doing their job but also that you are doing a better job than them and you are entitled to do so because your personal feelings and emotions are "journalism".<br>What is worse is that this sentiment can lead to violence against journalists. If you think you are a journalist but the people with the authority to deem you a journalist say you are not, where does that lead? To the streets to take justice into your own hands. To violent conflict with people who are licensed to carry guns and give their lives to protect the democracy. This "I'm not a journalist but" can be the catalyst of some serious shit and we should all be ashamed of this word being said.
