What do you think about hippie/hipsters?

I'm not trying to be rude, but I'm about to go on a trip and I don't want to meet any of the stereotype hippie/hipsters especially when I'm staying in a hostel (I'm traveling to Central Europe). I see them in my college town and when I go to other cities and when I listen to their conversations, I feel like they're insufferable and 99% of them don't even know anything about the places they talk about. Do you think I'll run into a lot of them?
