Womxn is really just “I’m a misogynist, but I don’t want to look like a misogynist”, right?

I’m in a online class and one of the instructors was talking about a “credible source” and had “Womxn History Month” as an example. <br><br>I’ve been ghosted by females because I didn’t put the tilde on top of the “e” in womyn and now I’m hearing it’s womxn. <br><br>What does the “x” even mean?
