AITA for not sharing my weed with my coworker?

I think what I did is pretty justified but I’ll get to that in a minute. I am a 22 year old man and I work in a restaurant. I pick up doubles a lot because I’m saving to move out and my shift manager lets me choose the shift I get because he’s a good guy. I met this coworker, we’ll call him Jack, when he was training for his job and I was the one training him.

Long story short, he asked for my number to contact me outside of work, we texted for a bit, and I invited him over and I sold him some weed because I always sell a bit to make extra money. He bought it and proceeded to tell everyone at work that I sold him weed for super cheap. I told him not to tell anyone since I didn’t want my manager to know, but he told everyone anyway.

Then, the next time I had weed on me, he found out and asked me if I could sell him more and I said sure. He said he didn’t have money but he promised he’d give me double next time. He took it and I haven’t seen a cent. I asked him about it when pay came and he said he’s broke but he’ll pay me when he’s not.

I told him that he has to pay me and he kept saying he doesn’t have the money. Two weeks go by and he asks if my word is good and I said yes, so he asks me to spot him something again. I told him no because I haven’t been paid yet and I need that money for myself, but he kept pushing me to give him some, saying that it’s only an ounce and he’ll pay me 3x the amount next time.

I said no again and he said I was being an asshole for not selling to him, even though he owes me money. I don’t think I’m the asshole for not giving him free weed but my sister and mom said that I’m being petty for not selling to him. AITA?
