Hearing someone say "sorry not sorry" makes me want to strangle them

I know it's just words but I absolutely HATE hearing people say "sorry, not sorry" in response to another person. It always comes off as smug, arrogant, and has a "fuck you, you can't get mad at me" tone to it. I know thatsgiving rage will get you down voted but I don't care, I just want this to be known. Humans spend an entire life trying to do what we call "the right thing" and we will never really know what that is. But saying "sorry not sorry" is a pretty damn good sign that you're not doing "the right thing" because you're not happy to apologize.

Edit: a lot of responses are saying that this is when someone is giving an apology they don't actually mean because they're forced to do so. If that's the case why would you even say sorry in the first place? This is just further confusing to me, and I still don't really get it.
