If you need a wheel chair due to a medical condition, you should NOT be allowed to use it as a mobility aid on a plane.

I have back problems and need to use a wheelchair occasionally. I am fully fine to walk on my own, but I don't have enough strength to push a wheelchair up and down walking aisles on a plane or at airports that don't have wheelchair accessible halls/doors. If I want to travel with my mobility aid on the plane, I either need someone else to push it or must buy a lighter option.

I find it extremely annoying to see people use their wheelchairs as a way to skip rows, and sit wherever they want (usually an exit row, since the less attentive wheelchair users don't care if there isn't anyone to help in case of an emergency). This practice also defeats the purpose of assigning special seats to those that need them (e.g. baby seats, pregnant women, people that are deaf and want a seat closer to the noise cancellers, etc).
