Hey all.

I'm sure there are a few of you that are wondering why you couldn't access /r/guns earlier today. There were a few posts removed for "inappropriate content." I'm sure you all remember the new rules that are in affect. There was a report filed against one of our members, which caused the sub to be put in a "danger zone." As you all can see, we are back up and running. I'm not sure how long we'll stay like this, so let's all just be careful and make sure that we aren't breaking any rules. Also, please, for the love of all that is holy, don't report our members.

EDIT: I just got off of the phone with Reddit support. The post that caused the problems was the rape post. It was reported to them. They actually read the post and thought it was in good taste. They then went through the sub looking for reasons to shut us down. They found a few posts that violated the new rules. It was enough to make them lock us down, but not completely ban us. As the mod who posted the rape story, I was temporarily banned. I am still able to use reddit, just not post. I was told that the ban would be lifted at midnight, but one of the other mods was able to lift the ban for me.

UPDATE: It appears that this problem is still ongoing. Please be aware that we are being watched very closely by the people over at Reddit. So once again, PLEASE! For the love of all that is holy, DO NOT REPORT OUR MEMBERS! If you see something that you believe is against the rules, please report it to the mods before reporting to Reddit. I'm sure that this is obvious, but we do not condone anything that is illegal. Please make sure that your posts are within the Reddit rules, as well as the rules of /r/guns. Thank you all for your understanding, and again, PLEASE! DO NOT REPORT OUR MEMBERS!
