This happened to me when I was around 10-11 years old, so I'm 15 now and it still haunts me to this day. This was in the early 2010s probably and at this time I was in a begginer gymnastics class. My mom would drop me off and I would go to the class and she would pick me up. I remember one time she was late to pick me up by around 10 minutes, so I waited in the waiting room of the gymnastics gym and did my homework.

There was a man in the waiting room who was a parent of one of the gymnast and he was older, probably in his 40s and he was about 6 feet tall. He kept staring at me and I started to get uncomfortable. He started walking towards me and I stared minding my own business, and he approached me and talked to me in this creepy and soft voice and told me that my mother was running late and asked me if I wanted to come to his car and wait for her. I was very creeped out and I said I was gonna wait in the waiting room and he kept pushing me to go, but I kept saying no. He kept staring at me and I was getting more and more uncomfortable. I decided to go outside and wait for her and he tried to follow me outside but he didn’t. I stayed outside for around 10 minutes until my mom picked me up.

She asked me why I was outside and I told her what happened and she was very angry and went inside to tell the people at the desk and they said that they would talk to him. The next time I went to gymnastics, I saw him and he just gave me this creepy stare and I felt really uneasy. I told my mom and she said I didn’t have to go if I didn’t want to, but I wanted to so she talked to my gymnastics teacher and told her that if he ever approached me again, to tell my mom and she would take me outside and away from him.

A few weeks later, that man approached my mom and talked to her and she said that he was really friendly and nice, but I felt really uneasy. I told my teacher what had happened and she said that he was a nice man and that he was just a worried parent. I got really annoyed and I said that he was really creepy and that he made me feel uncomfortable and she said that I was being a drama queen.

A few months later, I read an article in the local newspaper about a man who was arrested for sexual assault against a minor and it just so happens to be him. He had been approaching young girls and sexually assaulting them. This really stuck with me and I told my mom about it and she was really angry at the gymnastics gym for not listening to me and she decided to pull me out of gymnastics and I never saw that man again.

He was probably the creepiest and most nervous person I’ve ever met and to find out what he was doing was incredibly horrifying.
