My husband clearing his throat is worse than a tinnitus.

My husband clears his throat approximately every 5 minutes, all day, every day. He doesn’t know he’s doing it and he will even do it when he’s asleep. He’s been to doctors to see if anything is wrong with his throat but nothing is wrong. I seriously think he’s doing it intentionally and I’ve told him so. It’s so annoying !
