My girlfriend is ashamed of me and I don't know what to do (24m)

My girlfriend (24f) is ashamed of me because of my height. I am 5'5" and she is 5'9". She is constantly making jokes about how short I am, comparing me to children, and has told me she has trouble taking me seriously in public because she feels like I look like I'm 16 and she's my mom. <br><br>I have been with her for a year and a half and I love her to death. I have been patient with her and have tried to show her that height doesn't matter, but nothing seems to help. <br><br>Yesterday we had a massive fight about this and she told me that she only wants to date tall guys. I want to break up with her so badly because of how hurtful it is to be treated like this, but I am scared of losing her. <br><br>What can I do in this situation? I feel so helpless and humiliated because of this. I can't grow taller and I don't know what else I can do to prove myself.
