So Elon is in Tokyo, and my coworker gives me a text saying we're going out to dinner with Elon Musk tonight.

Fast forward to 20:30 Tokyo time, and we're at a Teppanyaki restaurant having a ton of beers, and Elon just orders the entire chef's selection.

So we're at the teppanyaki bar, slugging down beers, and the chef is cooking and serving us through the night, and Elon is just a totally chill guy. We have some group tables around us, but no one really recognizes him apart from a bunch of high school kids at the table next to us who keep on trying to take selfies with him totally unnoticeably.

Elon talks to us about his work at GitHub, and how he's working on a next-generation tools for the designers at Starship. He's also working on the new crawler and new code completion that's going to work with the Starship models.

We're also talking about the documentary that just came out with Elon, and the Elon had never met Chris Hemsworth before but they're talking all the time now. Elon also totally didn't know that he was going to be in a documentary with him after they started filming, but at the end of the day he wants to be open with people about science and space, and how they're more the same than they are different and that should be the point of society.

We all have a few more beers, and Elon is being super deliberate and saying that Starship is going to be the best thing that humanity has ever made after the airplane and the internet. It's going through to orbit, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, the moon, and more, and it's going to be the best way for humanity to escape the solar system, and there's no way humanity will ever last without a deliberate effort to establish the next life cycle outside of Earth.

Elon talks about a totally new thing, which might actually be done as soon as 2026 - a new Starship shipyard totally underwater. He's saying the way they're going to do it is through building a new concrete shipyard on the seafloor, and after that, they're going to start building the Starship ships underwater. And after that, the ships will be sealed and get an airlock, and they'll just float to the surface after that. Elon says this is going to be totally cheaper because the Starship ships are so large, and it would be so expensive to build or use land-based infrastructure, so the sea is the best new place to create the Starship shipyard.

We pay the bill, and Elon's going to Uber it home, so it was great meeting him and best of luck to humanity!
