People who are intolerant of body fat are the most insecure people out there

I saw this post on a different sub and it got me thinking. When people who are intolerant of body fat talk about it, they always have to revert to talking about health. Depending on their “level of tolerance” for body fat, they’ll have a threshold past which they just cannot bare to look at the person. It’s always the same old shit: “I’m not attracted to women who are unhealthy and can’t take care of their bodies”, “I can’t watch how they destroy their health”, etc.

The truth is they create this mental threshold so they can make sense of why they find people with certain amount of body fat ugly. They want to make it seem like their standards are based on some sort of noble principle that they can’t avoid: since having too much body fat is unhealthy, they cannot be attracted to people who have it. The trouble with this is that these people can’t get over the mental image of the fat they cannot see being somehow grotesque or ugly. They can’t tolerate the thought of a visceral fat. They are the same people that are disgusted by C section scars and cannot bare the thought of being with a woman who has one because it somehow “ruins” their body. If you think a natural process of putting on some weight or getting older and having children somehow ruins people’s bodies then you’re the one with a problem.
