$24/hr entry level warehouse worker at Amazon

This is my first post on an economic subreddit. I've heard that there's a recession going on and jobs are scarce.

I'm in my 30s and I've been an entry level warehouse worker at Amazon for 2 years. I had zero experience in warehouse work, and I was immediately hired in their fulfillment center.

It's a $24/hr job, and while I don't love it, I was reading other posts about Walmart and Target hiring for $15/hr. And I thought, wow, my job is paying more than retail jobs. I don't know how much others warehouse jobs pay, but I'm very thankful to work at a place that pays me more than minimum wage, and I get to buy stuff at a discount, lol.

I don't have a college degree, and this is my first entry level job in a warehouse, so I'm glad I get to experience it. Plus, it's pretty easy to get overtime, and I don't have to be on call or work graveyard shift. I'm very grateful for the job I have, and while it's not my dream job, I'm thankful to have a job in the first place.
