So this is my friends story but she told me I could post it. She is the AH here but not the main point of this post, just wanted to point that out.

This was from a few years back when my friend (F26) and I (F27) went to a house party together. We met up about an hour before the party and when I picked her up she looked like she was in a lot of pain, it had been going on for a few days and I figured to ask her the usual questions that I always ask when she's complaining about her back and stuff. She said she felt like she had to poop but it was just diarrhea and that she was pretty sure it was a kidney stone. That's basically what she always says when her back hurts so I assumed it was true. Plus she's always complaining so it's hard to take her seriously.

So at the party she went to the bathroom a lot but I figured it was because of the pain and didn't really think anything of it. In hindsight I can see that I should have put it together but like I said she always complains and never really goes to the doctor or talks about her health so I didn't think she was being serious, plus we were drinking and I wasn't really focused on her.

Then when we were driving home she was in way more pain and I asked if maybe she should go to the ER. I offered to take her but she said no she was just going to go to bed and take some Advil. I dropped her off and like an idiot also gave her a nero.

The next day she texted and told me she had the baby at home, by herself. I was shocked, I didn't even know she was pregnant. I did feel bad for not taking her to the ER and not being more supportive.

But then I talked to her boyfriend and he told me she had been to her OB the day before and was told she was dilated a little so to be prepared for the baby. Which she didn't tell me. I also looked up how many cm she was dilated and it was 4, so basically half. I'm not saying it wasn't an emergency but she was actually going to let me drop her off at home like that?

She has only brought it up to me once and blamed me for not taking her to the hospital. I told her I was drinking and didn't want to drive and also that if I had know she was that far along I would have but she didn't tell me. She got mad and said she told me she was in pain but I should have known by looking at her. I didn't want to fight so I agreed she was right but I'm wondering if I really am the AH for not being more insistent that she go to the ER?
