"NO PARENTS ALLOWED" at 8 year old's birthday party

I'm a mother of 3, kids are 10, 8 and 3. Now that the kids are getting older, they're starting to want their parents to leave them at the party and pick them up a few hours later.

So this is what just happened: kid goes to a party for an 8 year old. On the invitation it said "NO PARENTS ALLOWED". Now, I get that parents want to give parents a break and not make it mandatory to stay. But I don't send my kids to houses without meeting the parents first and getting a vibe of the household. I'm a very protective mom and I don't feel comfortable with that.

So I texted the party parent (mom) and said "I understand your premise on parents not staying, but I'm a first time mom and haven't met you and would like to drop off kid and pick up after 2 hours".

She said "sorry, I would prefer if you don't stay". I said okay, no problem. A few seconds later she texted asking why I wouldn't be staying. I said I'm not comfortable sending my kid to a house I haven't seen. She said "oh I understand. The problem is my husband will be home and he's not too comfortable with other parents around".

It just sounds weird. She mentioned a few other parents will be staying, but I just regularly don't send my kid anywhere without being at least in the house for 5 minutes.

Parents regularly offer for my kid to stay and play, but I always see the house and meet everyone before dropping off.
