What anime will never exist because the creators haven't seen it before?

Even without considering the fact that anime must be inspired by something before, there are still a few ways to give a pretty good answer to this.

The first reason would be that the source material is of a different kind of media; either a TV show, a movie, a book, or something else entirely. For instance, we'd never see an anime for Star Wars, Looney Tunes, or Harry Potter as long as the creators are Japanese. Granted, that doesn't necessarily mean that we'll NEVER see anime adaptations of these shows in the future, but with how much Japanese people seem to look down on Western media, I can't imagine it'll happen anytime soon.

The second reason would be to consider the age of anime. If you look up a list of the oldest anime, the earliest anime produced dates back to 1907. Not to mention that anime was still evolving to become the style we know today back then. Considering that most of anime is inspired by other anime in most cases, if anime is inspired by itself and it's a relatively new style of animation that just took off in late 1920s, then you would think that anime must be inspired by other styles of animation. And that's correct to an extent, as anime was inspired by Disney cartoons, and you can see the influence if you look back at the oldest anime. But why can't we see any anime inspired by cartoons that are older than what Disney has produced? I know that anime is heavily influenced by manga, but that's still kind of my point. Most of the oldest cartoons out there are also funny animal cartoons, so why not see any anime inspired by stuff like Felix the Cat, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, and others?

In fact, I think most of anime is inspired by Disney in general, and not really other Western cartoons. It's really rare to see an anime that parodies or takes inspiration from other cartoons. You'll never see an anime like Shrek or Space Jam that parodies other cartoons, because anime isn't inspired by other cartoons like how other cartoons are. They'd rather look to other anime for their inspirations.

The last reason would be based on the most recent anime, but also by the oldest anime. We don't see many anime that actively try to mimic the styles of other cartoons. I think that the reason why isn't just because of cultural differences, but also because of how cartoon styles were being experimented at different points in history. Anime was in the process of figuring out its style back in the 1920s, but cartoons were still in the process of figuring out their own style in the early 1900s. By the time anime came out, the styles of cartoons for the most part had already been finalized and were in the process of getting refined. So if an anime were to be inspired by Western cartoons, especially early Western cartoons, it would likely be considered retro and not fit in with today's style of anime, seeing as cartoons were more modern by the time anime actively started to become good in the 1960s. If an anime were to be inspired by early Western cartoons, it would be breaking away from its modernized style, and that's just not something that Japanese creators do.
