Do kids anymore make their own snacks?

I’m 20 but growing up, I always made my own snacks like cheese sandwiches, fruit salads, cheese and crackers, ham sandwitches, etc.. <br><br>Now when I’m babysitting kids and they tell you they are hungry, do you make them a snack or make them make a snack themselves? It kind of defeats the purpose if you just make it for them but kids are very dumb these days, they don’t know how to do anything for themselves.
