What the hell is up with all the teenage girl anime fans on TikTok and Instagram?

Just wondering, because I’m not on Instagram much but after making a new TikTok and listing anime as an interest I’m getting like 80% recommended videos from teen girls screaming about Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia, the remaining 20% is anime news accounts and sometimes one really weird porn trap account that makes me lose my appetite for days.
