LPT: when a food is so good you don't stop thinking about it, it's probably because you forgot to drink water

I swear this has happened to me a million times. Sometimes I skip a meal and get exceptionally thirsty and all I can think about is a juicy cheeseburger. I'll think about it for hours and how I'd do anything to have one in front of me. But I don't give in and call postmates, because its been years since I learned this truth after a hard college exam, and I drink a liter of water and take a nap and find that when I wake up, my craving for burgers is gone and all I can think about is how nice a chicken salad would taste....

EDIT: something else I’d like to add is that this also counts for food cravings when you’re stressed. Sometimes we crave food so much becuase we aren’t satisfied, and that’s because when we’re stressed, our bodies skip the part of digestion that absorbs nutrients, so no matter what you eat, you’ll be hungry just after because your body hasn’t absorbed any nutrients yet.
