Can someone please explain Rorty to me?

I’m truly flailing trying to understand Rorty’s books, especially his book ‘contingency, irony, and solidarity’. I don’t have a good way to summarize his philosophy, so I’m wondering if anyone here can summarize it for me. I’m not looking for a link to a website or a Wikipedia page, I’m looking for a human being to summarize what the basic premises of his philosophy are in plain English.
