I work in a high rise office, I sometimes throw a ball or a coin out the window to see how long it takes to reach the sidewalk. Can anyone tell me if that’s a crime?

I’m on floor 27. Of a 29 floor building. I’m out of a job if anyone catches me so I don’t tell people about it. But it’s fun, and I can visit the sidewalk in hopes of finding it. I’ve only found the ball once.
