I'm reading All About Love right now, it's a book by bell hooks. So far, it's super interesting, and it's made me think about the whole men's rights movement. In one of the early chapters, hooks explains how, in the US, the middle-class women's movement didn't help poor women, black women, or any women who had the same problems they had. It only helped middle-class women, who didn't have much to complain about in the first place, because they were already privileged enough. She then brings up that the men's movement is doing the same thing, which is only to protect and uplift privileged men.

I don't think there's much else to say beyond that. Men have been in power for so long, and it's a great thing that women are getting more rights and recognition, and I don't think that men should try to fight to be seen and heard. If a man wants to be a man of change, he should be fighting for women's rights and to uplift women. That's the least we can do.

So, Hi, I've lurked this sub for a while, and I appreciate the content, and I want to show my allies-hood. It's not a lot, and it's not much, but I'm here for and with you. And I completely agree with the sub's idea.
