I work in IT for a large company, and I think that a lot of people really misunderstand what "Private mode" means.

Private mode DOES NOT anonymize your browsing. All it does is delete your cookies and track history. If you use private mode to surf porn at work, you are going to get caught.

If you use private mode on your school PC, the tech people can still see exactly what you are doing. Even if you use private mode, if your school/employer has configured your PC properly, they can still see everything you do on their PC.

If you use private mode, your ISP can still see exactly what you are doing. It is not a VPN, and it does not encrypt your traffic. Your ISP can see everything you are doing, even if you are brwosing in private mode.

If you are doing something on a PC you don't own, just assume you are going to get caught.
