My feelings about the Trump protests

Trump is the President-elect of the United States. If you feel like you can't live with that, that's fine. As I said in my last post, I personally have mixed feeling about it.

But I have to say, I've recently become disgusted with the whole "protest Trump" movement. I saw people saying they had hoped that Trump would lose so Trump supporters would shut up, but now they want Trump to win so the leftists and anti-Trump people would shut up. I see their point, and it's a big one. Every time I look at my Twitter news feed, it's all anti-Trump shit. I see people saying "not my president" and that Trump is "illegitimate." In my opinion, this is a crock of shit. It's like saying a football team that loses the super bowl didn't deserve to be there, even if they made it fair and square. Trump won fair and square, and I would even argue that it was somewhat expected (although not necessarily by me). I have no problem with people protesting Trump, especially given some of the shitty things he has said and the many shitty people that support him. However, I think that if you say you're going to move to Canada, that you believe Trump is "illegitimate," or that you just rant about how much you hate Trump and how he's ruining America, you need to go outside for a breath of fresh air. The system is what it is. It's time to move on, no matter who won. Please learn to accept it.
