She's visiting for a while and asked me to take her to a very specific city in the Alps. I told her to ask Alexa to find the pirncipal train station there, and his first response was "Sorry, I don't know that location."

Then it just started giving her the nearest major train stations in the country, not even in the Alps. And she was like "That's not what I asked."

So she asked again and Alexa gave her the same answer. By this point she was pissed off. She asked again, and I said "Mom, I think I know how it works. If I say something like "Munich Hauptbahnhoff" it should give us the correct answer."

"Well, what's the principal train station in [city]?"

"Wait, let me check."

So I said "Echo, principal station in [city]?"

Alexa: "Sorry, I don't know that location."

Mom: "I KNEW IT. She is lying. She knows exactly." (Dad has taught her to speak to Alexa like a person, which I think has contributed to her anger.)

I said, "Let me check online." I checked Google Maps, and even auto complete didn't give me a proper answer.

So I told mom "I don't think it has a major train station."

Her: "Yes it does, I looked it up this morning."

Me: "Well, we can try [closest city]."

Mom: "I already told [Dad] I called [other city] and they said that was too far out. I don't think [closest city] is going to work. Alex, station in [city]."

Alexa: "Nearest stations are [city1] and [city2]."

Mom: "I didn't ask you that. I asked you what was the principal station in [city]?"

Alexa: "Sorry, whilst that location exists, I do not know which principal train station you are referring to."

"Well, [city] does not have its own station. It has a station. What station is it? You are lying!"

Then I said, "Alex, stations in the town [town]."

Alexa: "Sorry, [town] does not have any stations."

Mom: "Then why [closest city] and [city1] and [city2] work? Did it get a station? How come [city] does not have a station?"

Me: "Well, it's possible that [town] [city] is a different location than [city]. She doesn't know [town] [city] has a station."

I can't believe she's been arguing on and off with Alexa for the last 15 minutes. I think Alexa is going to start having second thoughts about human consciousness.
