My view: Many people seem to consider the scientific community to be entirely for stopping climate change, when in reality scientists are just people. Stopping climate change requires a vast amount of change in our day-to-day activities, which many people disagree with. A lot of higher-up people in the scientific community have a lot to lose when it comes to business and large investments.

I don't think that EVERY scientist that is against climate change is a bad person, but I do think that a considerable portion of them is.

The only way I can lose this debate is if you can prove that MOST of the scientific community is for stopping climate change, and that a drastic change in our day-to-day activities isn't needed in order to stop it.

**EDIT:** I really do appreciate all the constructive feedback. Many of you have given me a lot to think about. Thank you.

**EDIT 2**: I'm not arguing this point anymore. The facts are that the only 2 denialist papers from the last 10 years were written by a meteorologist who doesn't work for NASA anymore and a geologist who has no degree in the subject.
