CMV: If your political stance changes after meeting your partner then you were never truly politically literate in the first place

This is something that really gets to me as it happens so often and usually after meeting someone prominent. Why would you change your political stance just because you're dating someone new? Just last year Donald Glover said that he was "leaning into his conservative side" after dating a MAGA supporter. Why do people change their political views because of who they're dating? I can't imagine changing my views because of my partner.
