So I finally tried Xanax. What's the big deal about it???

I've been using drugs for over a decade and I never tried Xanax. I've always been a stimulant person. So I took 1mg of white bar and it was ok the first 2 hours I had some tingle feelings and it was chill. But after 2 hours I just felt like a zombie and I hated it. I didn't like it at all. So I don't understand why people are taking them. Is it the dosage? Do I need to take 3mg to feel something else?
