My husband's family is always making their own fun. Playing board games, cards, having backyard camp outs, etc. My idea of fun is going out. The more the better. So, a few days ago date night rolled around and my husband asked what he wanted to do and I told him it didn't matter to me as long as we got to go out.

He told me he wanted to go to Red Robin for supper and then go to his friend's house. His friend just got a PS5 and a new game and he wanted to check it out.

We had a nice time at supper. I took my phone to the table and he told me to put it away. I asked why and he told me he doesn't want to worry about me accidentally taking a picture of him. He's a little insecure about his appearance and doesn't like pictures being taken. So, I put my phone away and we finished supper.

When we were done he asked for the bill. I told him I didn't order it so I couldn't get it. He asked me what I ordered for supper. I told him I ordered the burger with no cheese, no tomato, and extra pickles. He asked me "did you forget you were married to me?" I said of course not. He asked why I ordered my burger. I told him I was hungry.

He asked me "do you know what a date is?" I told him I did. It's when a man and woman go out for the night and the man tries to impress the woman in hopes of getting laid at the end of the night. He told me that wasn't a date in a marriage but whatever.

So, I asked why he was upset because I ordered food. He told me I was supposed to order for him when I ordered for myself. I asked why he expected me to order for him. He told me because I knew what he liked. So, I asked what he liked. He told me he likes his burger with no cheese. I reminded him I ordered my burger with no cheese. He asked why I did that if I knew I didn't like cheese? I told him because he wanted me to order for him and I like his way better.

By this time, his friends had walked over. He started complaining about me ordering the wrong burger. I told him I didn't order a burger for him because I thought he was going to order. He said he didn't have any money. So, I asked him how he was going to buy the game. He said he wasn't. His friend was going to let him play and then when he got the money he would buy. So, I told him to go ahead and order since he was out of money.

His friends told me to just pay for his burger. I told them I didn't have any money. I only had my credit card. His friends said that was okay and handed me the card menu. I told them that wasn't my card. They asked whose card it was. I told them it was my husband's card. They asked me why I had his card. I told them it was for our date night and he told me to order for us.

The friends were acting confused. So, I figured they didn't know about date night. I asked them "do you know what a date is?" My husband said yes and took the menu from me. He ordered his burger and told me I should have ordered. I told him he should have told me to use his card.

Now, I'm sitting here on our couch and he's on the bed. He won't talk to me because he says I embarrassed him. I don't see how. I tried to do what I was told and I still managed to mess up. So, AITA?
