You’re not an introvert because you can’t handle yourself socially. Being an introvert means you need to be alone to recharge.

I feel like everything on the internet lately convinces people that if they don’t like to socialise they MUST be an introvert. If you can’t handle going outside with social anxiety but you still have friends then you’re not an introvert. I hate going to parties but still have a lovely group of friends and I’m quite capable of having a conversation with a stranger, I just don’t enjoy it. This makes me an introverted extrovert, because I still need to be alone sometimes to recharge, I just can’t go without socialising forever.<br><br>I do think the internet has made people lazier and less inclined to go outside, which can be a problem for some people who probably aren’t even introverts. But that’s a whole different story.
