Is Michael Jordan a piece of shit?

I’m going to ask this question to the subreddit that is supposed to be known for being brutally honest. <br><br>I was on a huge basketball kick when I recently read The Book of Basketball, about a year later I’m just not excited about NBA basketball anymore . I loved MJ growing up, Michael Jordan was the superstar that I grew up with as an NBA fan. Now that I’m not an NBA fan, and can simply look at the sport objectively, I hate it, I hate how he’s revered as a figure. I would be 1000% against any of my children idolizing him. <br><br>Michael Jordan is a piece of shit, he’s is a horrible person who I think is celebrated way too much as a superstar. I wouldn’t want any of my kids to look up to him. <br><br>Michael was an ultra competitive prick, that was known for being an asshole. MJ was an abrasive, mean, arrogant person. <br><br>MJ spent a year of his prime to go play baseball because he was so uniquely self absorbed. He thought that he was so good that he could do whatever he wanted, and he did. That shit is so damn arrogant, and it hurt the team. <br><br>The man is also a horrible business man. <br>The actual “Jumpman” logo was designed by Peter Moore, and Bruce Kilgore created the first shoe. Peter Moore was paid 0.005% royalties, which is not a lot for how much the company rakes in. Moore was let go in 1987, and had a non-disclosure agreement. He was paid a little bit more later on. <br><br>MJ also screwed over RoboCop who did some of the most iconic commercials for him. RoboCop was cut out of the company, and he is broke. <br><br>People talk about MJ’s gambling, but the guy is an alcoholic, and has been since he was young. I think most people know the story about the flu game was an alcohol hangover. I think his drinking issues are even worse than his gambling issues. <br><br>MJ when to Washington in 2001, and was the president of basketball operations. MJ replaced multiple people, and actually insulted the people who worked there. He helped ruin the franchise over what was a very poor decision to go to a team that he knew nothing about. <br><br>MJ is the owner of the Charlotte Hornets, and he has put a team on the field that is complete shit. MJ doesn’t really put any effort into the team, even with the team being in the NBA playoffs. His team barely made the playoffs and he only showed up to 3 of the playoff games out of 7. <br><br>MJ doesn’t care about the team, and he doesn’t even go to most of the games. <br><br>MJ has also been known to be a flirt, MJ had numerous affairs from his friends wives. MJ also had numerous affairs while married. <br><br>MJ also had a kid out of wedlock, and he didn’t claim the kid. <br><br>MJ has been involved in numerous other affairs, and MJ spent an entire season dating a cheerleader. Ed “The Bull” Sheeran (not the singer) killed himself, and left a note that exposed MJ for fucking his fiancé. <br><br>I’m a huge UCLA fan, and I love Rick Fox. Apparently Rick Fox went to the NBA Finals in 2001, and Michael Jordan was an asshole. I don’t know if this happened, but I don’t doubt it. <br><br>MJ also gave the finger to Utah Jazz fans in a game in Utah in 1997. <br><br>I think MJ is also known for shitting on his teammates, and I read a story that Kukoć was shitting on MJ so much that he got cut from the team. <br><br><br>This guy is such an arrogant prick, and is a horrible person. I think he should be shunned from the NBA, and out of society. <br><br><br>Edit: I don’t care that MJ is in the Hall of Fame. I don’t care about his stats, Michael Jordan is a piece of shit, and I don’t care if he’s the best basketball player ever. <br><br>The question here is, is Michael Jordan a piece of shit, and not if he’s an amazing basketball player. <br><br>Let’s talk history and stats when he dies, for now I’m going to call him a piece of shit. <br><br><br>Edit: I truly don’t care if he’s the GOAT.
