UPDATE - I (31/F) was attacked by my husband’s (33/M) best friend (31/M) at a party

I did not expect my last post to blow up the way it did and I appreciate all the love and support. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.<br><br>I’ve been reading all the comments and I understand you all want an update so here it is.<br><br>My husband and I talked. He’s said he’s devastated because he feels like he failed to protect me. It’s not his fault and I know that. He’s going to support me in whatever I want and he’s said he’s going to drop Steve as a friend.<br><br>We went to the police station and I filed a report and they’re going to look into it. They also told me a lot of what you guys said about how hard it’s going to be to get anything done. They did say they will try though.<br><br>My mom picked me up and took me to her house. I don’t want to be alone right now even though my husband said he’d stay with me. I told him to go home and that I’d call him in the morning and we can talk more.<br><br>I’m going to talk to a therapist. I may talk to a lawyer.<br><br>I appreciate all the advice and I am reading through them. I am going to remove the post because even though I censored it, it just feels too personal to leave up.<br><br>Thank you all so much.
