This issue has been resolved as of now. I just got out of a bar and had a weird experience. Unfortunately, I had my firearm in my truck and not on my person, but I was still in the parking lot. Anyways, I was parked in this spot in the parking lot and a car pulled up in a spot next to me. There were three men, one of whom was an off-duty LEO with a pistol on his belt. So, there clearly was nothing wrong with him having his firearm on him in the parking lot. Anyways, while everyone was getting out of the car, one of the men had a bottle of alcohol that was not sealed (still corked and everything) and the off-duty LEO grabbed it and put it in the car to take it inside. I was in my car finishing my drink (I didn't feel like bringing it inside because it was almost empty) and I heard my car door open. The guy looks at me and says "are you carrying a firearm?" And I'm like "yeah, I am, it's legal in my state." I don't know why he cared, but I was in my car, he didn't have to ask that. So, I'm like "no, I'm not bringing it in, it's in my center console." Then he's like "I'm an LEO, you need to let me take it." I'm like "no, I'm on private property and legal to carry it, you can't just take it from me." Then he's like "well, just tell me where it is in case the police come." I'm like "why would the police come? I've done nothing wrong, I'm not bringing it in the bar." I don't know what the man was trying to get at, but it just completely caught me off guard. Has anyone ever had something like this happen before?
