My husband doesn’t like my daughter’s dad

My daughter’s dad died over 7 years ago and her biological grandparents are not in our lives. I was introduced to my now husband when my daughter was 5. She’s 14 now and my husband and I have been married for 8 years. <br><br>He’s an amazing man all in all. However he is not a fan of my daughter’s father in any shape, form or fashion. He was a biker and you can just tell that my husband has a serious disdain for him. He once said that he was “trash”. <br><br>My daughter knows that her father wasn’t a saint, but he had his redeeming qualities and she loved him. I also loved him, even though I knew we wouldn’t have ended up together. <br><br>My husband has asked me why I still have my daughter’s father picture up. I told him because he’s her father and my daughter wants him to be remembered. I want her to remember him too. I love him for the fact that I have my daughter and she is my entire world. They both are. <br><br>My husband isn’t overly affectionate with my daughter, but he’s kind and generous and takes care of her. She also knows that he loves her. <br><br>He does this passive aggressive things that I’ve tried to speak to him about. <br><br>For example this past weekend I had to work. I work weird, irregular hours as a nurse. I work 7am-7pm once or twice a week and then 7pm-7am once or twice a week. He works a regular 8:30a-5p Monday thru Friday. My daughter is in high school, so she is able to take care of herself. <br><br>For some reason he leaves pictures of him and me on the car seat when he leaves for work. It’s so bizarre and childish. I’ve tried to speak to him about it but he says that everyone in this house knows that I’m his wife. <br><br>None of this makes any sense whatsoever. <br><br>I love my husband but I feel like he has so much resentment towards him and it’s bullshit. <br><br>Edit: I don’t post pictures of him everywhere. I do have maybe 7-10 throughout the house. These are the only pictures I have of her biker events, her dad, her grandparents, uncle’s, great grandma’s etc that we lost in the last 15 years. So it’s not all pictures of her father.
