CMV: If you are a 5'8 (172cm) guy who is 29 year old, and you are still single, then you should just give up on dating, life is better single anyway

It's not 1950 anymore, times have changed, the dating world has changed, to the point where your height just makes it impossible to date. As the years go by you will feel more and more out of place, to the point where it will be impossible. Dating is not in your cards, you need to just accept it. It's better just accepting it before wasting your time with futile attempts that wont get you anywhere.<br><br><br>Edit: 1) thanks to everyone who broke the height ceiling, you are true heroes<br><br>2) To those who keep saying "height doesn't matter" and "personality and just be a good guy" so on and so forth, you dont get it. Dating is hard for everyone, but when you just dont have the looks to back it up then you're just an afterthought. There's a lot people out there who are also good, also have a good personality, and also happen to be good looking. Dating is hyper competitive, and if you just dont have the looks then you are not in the running. <br><br>3) "Height is overrated, you dont need a girlfriend anyway" - I understand the sentiment, but if you are a woman, you just wouldn't understand what it feels like to be a man. Maybe you just dont, maybe you just dont get how much of a burden it is to be a man. Having a significant other is a big burden off your back, and you just dont get it. You get to go out there, and find someone attractive, who also has a personality, and do the whole "personality over looks" thing. That's a luxury that we dont have, since we have no control over our physical appearance. Thats just the way it is.<br><br>4) To those who werent born with the height gene, who are out there dating, i am happy for you. I am not here to interrupt your life, just to vent about mine. Maybe, just maybe, your experience is an exception to the rule, not the rule itself. <br><br>5) i know this is controversial, but i think that the only place where height is not a factor is a woman looking for a sugar daddy.
