I'm afraid that I won't be able to afford to have children

I'm a 20 year old male and the current financial situation is really scaring me. I was hoping to be settled down with a partner and ready to have kids in about 5 years. But with the situation in the world getting more unstable and expensive, I'm really worried that me and my potential future wife won't be able to afford to have kids and live comfortably. Now I'm leaning towards being a childfree and I'm feeling devastated because I've always wanted to have my own children.
