2024 is when LLMs will finally go mainstream...

Recent news of Claude 4 being the first LLM to outperform ChatGPT with compute that is similar to that of GPT-3.5 is a huge indication that 2024 is going to be a huge year for LLMs.<br><br>I expect that with the momentum they're gaining, 2024 will be the year when LLMs will finally start to go mainstream and the upcoming years will only see more breakthroughs.<br><br>- GPT-4 has already been getting a lot of attention and is being used by a lot of companies.<br>- Gemini likely is too with it being in beta.<br>- Claude 4 will likely outperform GPT-4 when it's released to the public and it's going to be a huge turning point.<br>- Anthropic and Dalle are also going to release their next models which will likely also perform better than their last iterations.<br><br>So we can expect a lot of LLMs performing at this new level and even outperforming humans in many areas by the end of next year.<br><br>This will likely make them mainstream and will also likely lead to a lot of opportunities for companies to incorporate these models and integrate them into their products.
