Doesn’t Confirmation Bias basically invalidate the scientific method?

If our brains are wired to confirm our preexisting beliefs then how can we trust science to be correct? Can we ever truly know something or is it all just confirmation bias with a bit of denial and cognitive dissonance thrown in?<br><br>Edit: first post got locked down for some reason?
